What does everyone here use to wake them up? Do you use your smart phone or an alarm clock? Do you like your alarm clock? What kind is it? Why did you choose it?

pic related (it's the Soundfreaq sound rise I'm considering purchasing)

I use my phone. My phone does qi wireless charging so after a late night fap session, i can just toss it on the charger with my reoccurring alarm and wake up for my morning fap before work
>>
>>52183326
>to wake them up
I eventually wake up by myself

I really should get an alarm clock because sometimes the alarm on my phone doesn't go off.
>>
>>52183326
I just use my Nexus 5. If it's an extra-important day I also set an alarm on my trusty, 2 decade old digital clock.

I use this. It works well and I like the independent alarms for each day of the week. Worked really great in college where my schedule differed day to day. I also don't have to worry about drunkenly not plugging my phone in and it dying, leaving me to sleep in.

Only complaint is that even on the lowest setting, this thing is BRIGHT. I put tinted window film over the LCD to help mitigate.

In a newer model, I'd like to see a webUI where you can schedule all your alarms, or whatever.

Sony Dream Machine with AM/FM Radio and Timezone, DST, buttons.
Still going strong for over 8 years I broke my last alarm clock which was a cosmo pos.
>>
>>52183452
Fucking hell, do we really need to overengineer fucking clocks to the point where they're able to securely connect to computer networks just to set an alarm?

Is it really easier to get to the nearest web-capable device, navigate to the clock's IP address and then set the alarm than pressing 2 buttons on the device itself?
>>
>>52183326
I can wake up on my own

Alarms never seem to wake me up.

I've considered blasting an alarm through my JBL940's to really get my ass out of bed, but I would probably just sleep through it.

I'm considering the idea of getting an alarm for deaf people that would vibrate my bed or trying to make something similar.
>>
>>52183528

I'm already at my desk and my alarm clock is in the other room. I can set my smart thermostat from here or brew a cup of coffee, why not set my alarm clock?

This is all I've ever used. I used to use my phone but quit because I'm not reliable enough the make sure my phone is on AND has the volume up to use it as an alarm. Plus, what would I do if my phone stopped working? I wouldn't have time to go for a new one asap.

I've grown to trust and gauge my biological clock pretty accurately within +-15 mins. I set what time I need to wake up, and then wake up around that time.
>>
>>52183680
Wow you sure showed us chad.
>>
>>52183704
Does that work for you even if you're not getting enough sleep? Not as a rule I mean, but as an exception.
>>
>>52183672
Or burn me to death in my bed.

So win/win
>>
>>52183326

Nice clock ahmed
>>
>>52183326
hito atomic clock. tells date and temperature.
>>
I just use my phone as an alarm. Although I found out that if I use the same tone for a while, I'll slowly start to sleep through the alarm. I set up several alarms at the same time but with different songs and cycle through them every so often.
>>
>>52183326
Phone, the same reason why nobody buys clocks, ipods or watches anymore.

Why does it have a signal bar meter? Is it connecting to Wifi or cell networks?

It connects to the outdoor temperature sensor.

I'm a sucker for everything metereological.
>>
Are there any alarm clocks that connect to cell networks to set their time? I use old smart phones as clocks in some rooms because they set themselves automatically from the towers.
If this doesn't exist why not? I mean it would be easier to use local cell signals than the atomic signal that you have to get all the way from Collorado. Or WiFi would be interesting also.

Not from Cell nor Wifi as far as I'm aware, but there are some that set themselves from other RF sources like the WWVB LF station.

Radio clock is more efficient than cell signal though? Don't even know what's the deal with clocks since my old Sony hasn't missed a second since I got it years ago

Not him but generally that doesn't affect it. It's only if I've been up for an unusually long period of time where I will oversleep. I also cannot fall back to sleep once I see daylight, so no midday naps
>>

Would like to get one other than the really old shit since phones can fail sometimes.
