Does win10 Pro really have the same privacy settings as Enterprise (as in, disable all the spyware) or am I getting trolled by shills on tech sites?

I decided to use VirtualBox and use Linux for the first time. Should I go with Ubuntu or Mint? Also is there limits on what you can do once the OS is setup and compete?

you can't disable some privacy settings, only set the lowest "1" option; with the "0" enabled only in enterprise via grouppolicy

both are fine. the biggest problem with ubuntu is the amazon search thingy (google it) and the fact that some people don't like unity. there are other versions of ubuntu, like xubuntu, that come with different desktop systems preinstalled.
>Also is there limits on what you can do once the OS is setup and compete?
theoretically, you can do all kinds of things. in practice, you will be restricted to some degree by the distro you choose. they come with different package managers and different approaches to doing things in general.

Reposting from earlier thread:

So I was managing some files on my external hard drive, when I decided to go mobile and switch to my laptop. I put my computer into hibernation without thinking much of it (I always put it into hibernation and had a ton of shit open) and switched to my laptop.

After continuing on my laptop (which consisted of just deleting certain files in a specific folder), I decided to switch back to my desktop computer. I turned the computer into hibernation (like I always do), plugged my hard drive back into my desktop and turned it on.

When I turned my desktop back on, I opened up the folder (I had left the windows explorer window with the folder still open before hibernating) and I noticed that the files I had been deleting on my laptop were still there. I tried refreshing explorer, but they didn't go away. In fact, I opened a few up and they opened up with no problem--like they were never deleted.

I decided to go back to the laptop to see if they were gone on there. I couldn't "safely remove" the hard drive, so I just shut the computer down (no hibernation) and moved back to the laptop. Back on the laptop, all the files I had deleted while on the laptop, were gone. I then moved back, again, to the desktop to see if they would finally be gone now. But when I tried navigating to the directory, I get a message saying "F:\blabla\bla is not accessible. The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable."

Everything else on the hard drive works fine and is readable, but I can't do anything with the directory I was just working in. But all those files can't just be gone. How do I save them?

Just got a phone with android and installed cyanogen in it and it's my first time ever using android.

So how do I download .apk files from playstore, since pretty much every single icon theme are in there? I don't have gapps installed and I'll not install them on my phone.

I found this site that does the job, but I don't know if it's reliable or not.

i5-4690, running at stock.

I'm encoding videos in Handbrake and my CPU is at 95-100%. Temps are at around 50-55C. Is this acceptable?
>>
Try this again: So i got an MSI R9 390 a few months ago, and I love it. Despite it running hotter than shit, it's been a great card.

Now i'm planning to rebuild my current PC (just remodeled the room, got a new desk, going for the new BS). I'm planning on getting another 390 (so I can Crossfire) along with 2 SSD's, and all the other essentials. My question is how much wattage is that going to need? I've got an relatively new Antec 850w in my current tower, but for some reason I doubt that 850w is going to be sufficient.

My question is:
Is the site(play.mob.org) legit or is it a pirating and/or malware site?

In Windows 7, if you had a folder with pictures in it, and you single clicked on a picture, the bottom part of the folder would show details about it, like date and resolution, but most importantly, a thumbnail preview of the image.

>Battery Life: 1 to 1.5 hours

I mean, I love cheap chinkshit too but at that point it's barely a laptop. At $100 I'd still consider it, but not at $300.

Other items to consider instead:

$40 android tablet w/keyboard cover
$50 amazon fire
$100 X200,X201 lelnovo memepads
$100 Windows 10 chinklet
$100 Amazon fire HD
$150 chromebook
$200 Google, Samshill tablets
$200 X220 lelnovo memepads
$300 X230 lelnovo memepads

That thing has 1 hour battery life and an intel atom. I don't even know if it would work as a status signal because it doesn't say if it comes with the apple logo or not.

I have a Sprint iPhone 4S and the MSL code to it. I used to work at Sprint so I know the MSL code is pretty much useless, especially for Apple devices, but is there anything I can do with it? My mother-in-law is hellbent on getting her Sprint iPhone 4 or my 4S working on PagePlus and is being told by some company that works for PagePlus that it's possible to unlock the phones for them to work on PagePlus but I know they're talking out their asses. The IMEI passes ATT and MetroPCS activation checks but I'm pretty sure they're unable to activate it. idk.

My question is basically: what could I do with it other than Sprint, Boost, selling it? I feel like those are my only options and my mother-in-law doesn't seem to believe me.

Why does foobar2000 make my music sound worse at 0 db than 8 db? Kicks get less bassy and punchy at that audio level, but when I drop it to a lower level, everything sounds much better, but can sound a little too low. My friend said it was ducking, but I googled it and no one seems to have similar audio problems. ReplayGain is off by the way, and the windows audio level is at 61%

I am getting occasional stutters while playing videos with a number of players (mpv stock config, vlc, mpc-hc with madvr, etc). They aren't that frequent, occurring maybe once or twice an hour, but are quite annoying.

I have removed the overclock from my CPU and GPU, yet the issue remains. I am playing these videos from an external HDD, specifically a Freecom Sq 3TB connected via USB3. It has a Seagate HDD inside (prone to death, I know, but it's less than a month old).

Could external HDD be causing the issue, or is it more likely driver related? I have no other problems with the HDD. The videos are high quality P2P encodes.

Watchdog is a timer that manages certain acpi calls. If you're getting it at the end windows isnt sending the proper shutdown commands,so the watchdog is complaining. I am using my newly installed SSD and everything is working fine... except for 7zip.

It keeps extracting temp files to my C: (ssd) and ignores the working folder settings (which is a mechanical storage drive). The only time this folder setting is respected is if I use the 'extract' menu. If I drag and drop it will default back to C:

Is there a workaround to force drag and drop operations from 7 zip to use the working folder on the mechanical drive and leave my god damn SSD alone?

There is only one real fork and that is Pale Moon, as they are totally independent from Mozilla's engine train now as they do no longer switch engines each month.

All other Firefox based browsers are rebrands. Because they are not totally independent. Same for every Chromium based browsers, they are too only rebrands because none of them really has split off completly from the origin project.

The problem with forks is if they have less manpower and knowledge, they will become more and more incompatible with websites and new web standards.

That is the big problem which Pale Moon has right now.
