Did I get meme'd? Is this an "acceptable" amount of glow and/or backlight bleed for an IPS display? This is my first IPS display so I don't really have anything to compare it to. Is this faulty or just something I'll have to live with? It's quite noticeable on dark scenes in films and such
My LG monitors are the same.
Have you tuned brightness yet?
If it's set to max, it'll improve a little once you turn it down.

Looks pretty much the usual.
My cheap-o 27" korean doesn't look nearly that bad. especially the yucky colour cast... but it depends on what your camera exposure is set to I guess.
You got meme'd, lad. Rip in peace;

I have my brightness set to 50% right now, going below that doesn't seem to make much more of a difference

The color casting isn't as obvious in person, it's mostly the fact that it's quite a bit brighter than the other corners of the screen which can be distracting at times
I guess it's just something I'll have to get used to, seems to be a common issue with IPS.
Threadly reminder that CRTs don't have this problem.

This is entirely subjective, it's your screen. Do you think there's too much glow?

I think it's more a matter of "is this one likely to be considered defective and can I expect to get a monitor that has less".

It's not massively annoying, but I was wondering if it's abnormally large. If I had a defective monitor, I would prefer to have one that wasn't defective, even if I could live with the defective one.

This, basically
