I am, on my shitty netbook.
>>
>>52174032
pcmanfm looks like a stripped down dolphin.
At least dolphin has a built in terminal so you don't have to launch a new window every time you need to do something in the folder you are in.

In openbox you have to implement everything yourself and the config files blur everything so you have hotkeys and functions blurred together.
launcher is mouse focused menu.
compared to krunner or synapse, it doesn't do anything.
It is not uncommon that people want to search for files, launch applications and do calculations in their launcher. Why limit yourself?

Yeah dude I dunno. I'd just recommend burning a new iso from here:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Lubuntu/GetLubuntu/LTS

Use the torrent link.

The 32-bit 14.04.3 iso has never let me down so far, put it on 8 computers. (You can grab 64-bit if your processor and chipset support it).

I haven't used live boot systems a whole lot but a bit of weirdness doesn't really surprise me since I think there can be some permissions issues or something I dunno.

Are you trying to partition the disk/ Dual Boot etc? I just go balls deep on most of my machines.

The one with a windows partition seemed to work well with installing windows first, linux second. While you are doing the windows install select "advanced" setup, format the whole thing, then create a big main partition for windows, leaving at least 8 GB of unallocated space that will be your linux partition. I usually go with 32 GB, because if I'm putting winblows on a machine it means it's for gaymes and the linux won't get used too much.

TL;DR: Nuke the drive, start from scratch with a 14.04.3 LTS iso in the link.
