Got my lg g2 during the $200 nib fire sale last spring. Works great but i'm not a heavy user. Most of my apps come from fdroid.

Yes. I got my refurb g2 in january from aliexpress for $130.
Now running CM13 and no issues at all.
A shame that doesn't have a mSD slot though.

I'd say an S4 is. It costs about the same and is better at things that matter.
