C#/Java monkey earn more than embedded software engineer
seriously wtf
>>52165864
>guy on crutches
when she saw him her legs went haywire
I don't get why /g/ is suprised by this
Most normies care about phone apps
>>52166029
It is not normies who pay for work.
Big companies burn $$$ on c#/Java apps, while embedded software engineers works for cents.
Nice to know Java isn't as bad of a choice as I thought.
Then again, knowing C# and Python will be just as useful. Right?
>>52165864
That guy needs crutches to walk but nobody offers him a chair to sit there for his shift?
>>52166618
You mean the one right behind him?
I know a guy who was an embedded software engineer, worked in ASM writing printer firmware at Lexmark. Has a masters degree. He had to take a job doing Java just to make more money, and it seems tech companies don't want to hire him because he hasn't been writing RoR apps for 10 years. Meanwhile he's the most gifted programmer I know and he probably makes less than $70k/yr
>>52165864
supply and demand.
>>52166637
>implying folding chairs are proper chairs
Shitlord.
In all honesty, I'm retarded. I completely missed that.
>>52166582
The more you know, the better (just don't have a fuck-long list of languages on your resume).
This chick is seriously far beyond retarded to have fallen like that. I bet she even called 911, racked up a $2000 ambulance bill, and then spent 5 hours begging for Dilaudid in the emergency room.
>>52166582
There is alot to learn for 5 digit month salary.
You have to know syntax, few frameworks, design patter, source control, unit testing, master ide, etc.
When you work with asynchronous/synchronous programming you have to make smart decisions.
When you are forced to maintaince 15yo shitty code with missing documentation sudoku seems like salvation
>>52165864
Are you seriously this out of touch with the real world? Do you think all Java/C# programming is just CRUD apps or something?
>>52166582
Yeah, I do Java and Python mostly and I get paid six figures.
>>52166722
anon, she have fallen in a cute, funny way
I would help her get up and then give her a kiss on forehead
>>52166779
She fell like a fucking faggot. Who throws a bucket of popcorn 50 feet into the air before taking 800 steps only to fall flat on their face? It wasn't enough to pull a hail Mary on the popcorn bucket - despite subsequently having freed up BOTH hands, she still breaks her face with her face.
Absolutely sickening. Dumbest fall I've ever seen, even a toddler couldn't pull this shit off.
Embedded programmers discover value of anis only when their own is violated ;^)
this is why you keep programming as a hobby, it was viable as a career during the 90's when there was still cool stuff to program, but now everything has been automated and the only thing left to do for humans is shitty frontends.
>>52166853
>tfw DARPA is employing programmers to write software that writes itself and programmers will be out of work in < 10 years
>>52165864
they do it for free like murdock
>>52165864
Does the free market offend you or something? Ask Bernie if he'll raise the wages of embedded programmers for no good reason whatsoever.
>software "engineer"
>>52166676
>just don't have a fuck-long list of languages on your resume
Well, there are really only 10 or so languages that are mainstream enough for most employers to actually care about; everything else would either be supplemental or for specialized purposes
>>52167627
That's true but this is /g/, where autists would probably put IBM-COBOL down on their resume just because they can.
People on /g/ need to realize that the difficulty of a task matters far less than the demand.
>>52168876
you mean the demand is more important than the task when money is concerned.
Management/HR doesn't know the difference and nobody (except that one guy who responds to this) gets to 6 figures by staying at the same job.
