I have to use a Mac at work and I do all file operations in the terminal. I hate finder. 90% of my job is in the terminal, but file operations are something I could do with gui but choose not to.

The CLI is the best tool for some jobs. I do not prefer it as a rule. I use whatever does the job best.
Using a CLI when it's inappropriate is just as bad as using a GUI when it's inappropriate.
