I had one of those, it started having bad sectors after 5+ years of usage.
My current oldest drives are a 2tb Samsung blue with 36k hours and a WD Red 2tb with 28k hours.
However I started enabling power down on idle for the last year since this piece of shit Fractal Design R5 does nothing to dampen HDD noise and vibration. Most of my HDDs aren't used half the time anyway.

Oh, and this pic of the hd103uj is over a year old. Since then I put it in an external enclosure and gave it to my dad, since they got a smart tv that can play movies from the hdd.
The enclosure was a piece of shit and was quickly torn to pieces, so I shudder to think how many errors the drive has now.

Here it is, upgraded nearly everything but this HDD
Old Hitachi Deathstar still going. Noisy as hell, but being almost deaf, it doesn't bather me at all.
Had an old 80GB drive on my old PC with 70K+ power-on hours, PATA interface.
Was still spinning last I checked.
I think it is dying.

I think it's the power ons that kill drives my seagate has more hours, and less than half the power ons and it's still going.
