Tor.

Freenet, nobody uses it so it is likely not something anyone tries to crack.

trips confirmed freenet better than TOR/NSA

> For data consumer?
Probably doesnt matter. If you dont do stupid shit with Tor Browser like enabled JS, you are as safe as with Freenet, which filters out JS and other dangerous web content.

> For data producers & uploaders, website (freesite) admins?
Definitely Freenet.
Also discussion systems for Freenet (most popular Frost and FMS) are decentralized, thus you can have your content even without Freesites.

On the other hand, you are forced to host some of the network's content, regardless of what the nature of that content may be.

The way I see it, the main appeal of these netorks is as an automatic nat traversal systems; you can connect to a host without having to muck around with it's network or dynamic dns.

Imposing content hosting on participants is a flawed strategy, imho.

Learn what "security by obscurity" is, fucking son of cock-swallower.

I dont know but I sure as hell know I dont want this on my PC.
See this screenshot from Freenet+Frost. Pedoporno everywhere. :(

>>52156013
I believe it's encrypted and you don't have the key, so you don't know what on it.
>>
>>52156013
this.
It's probably a FBI honey pot anyway.
>>
>>52156157
No.
>>
>>52156112
I dont know about CP boards in Frost, but files uploaded into Freenet network are almost never encrypted. No need for this, because Freenet is censorship resistant and there is nothing like dmca complaint possible.

Of course, Freenet itself is encrypted, but it is transparent for users.
>>
>>52156280
So you can see whats being store on your computer? I thought that was in an encrypted volume or something so you couldn't access it directly.
>>
>>52156350
You cant see what is stored on your computer.
But you can download files for which people shared keys. And those keys are posted in boards you can see in >>52156013

>>52156350
You can't see what's on it directly, but since you can see what's on the network you can see what type of stuff is likely to be on your computer.

Ok, that's what I though. Thanks.

It will take another 50 000 years to check every single Freenet user.
>>
>>52156511
Maybe. But you never know who's next.
>>
>>52156535
So, better then not using it, and if you just use it for fun and no crime they just waisted years and probably lots of money.
>>
>>52156757
Every privacy network (Tor, Freenet, I2P, whatever) give you zero guaranties against strong, rich and determined adversary.
>>
>>52157062
Yeah, and if you have Intel or AMD they can use the backdoors in those to get you.
>>
Or you can just not have the type of personality that is attracted to secretive stuff, and then you won't have a need for tor or freenet anyway.
>>
>>52157374
If you are hidding some of your activities from others, it doesnt mean given activity is illegal or everybody need to hide it.
Maybe you are just downloading anime from japanese boards in Freenet, but does NSA need to know about your anime fetish?
>>
>>52157374
>Or you can just not have the type of personality
making it sound like a choice, nice narrative
>>
>>52156535
Just use FDE encryption and you won't have to worry about it. The guy who got caught in that sting probably didn't even encrypt his computer.
>>
>>52158491
>full disk encryption encyrption

>>52154486
But its encrypted and you dont have the key. There is nothing wrong with that.
