>I only have 10 geebees left on my harddrive
Get a NAS op. Ive never had to worry about space since setting mine up

>NAS
Don't fall for this meme, just buy a bigger HDD
Buy a new HDD then

If you have the money/know how and need for more storage it's a super good investment. Building one out of an old motherboard and amd APU I had atm, probably going to cost me around $60 to make it into a NAS.

fuck these guys, start deleting stuff
Digital hoarding is a mental disease like physical hoarding.
>>52130229
Deleting is a PERMANENT solution to a TEMPORARY problem
>>52128982
home nas is only useful if you have multiple machines/devices that you want to have access to certain data. otherwise just grab an hdd dock and buy hdds as needed and offload shit you don't need daily access to
>>52130280
It's kind of the other way around dude
it's a temporary solution because you're going to fill up your drive again
it's a permanent problem because your drive is small
>>52130339
My problem is that a desktop will naturally have a lot of ports in use for the mouse, keyboard, flash drives, phone charging etc... a headless NAS will probably have everything open to use. 8 USB ports = 8 hard drives. A lot more potential storage.

what
this makes absolutely no sense, at all
>>52131765
Sounds like he's implying he'd attach external HDDs to a NAS. Which isn't impossible, but it's fucking retarded.
NASes are better simply because you can let stuff run on them overnight, e.g. torrents or backups.

>data hoarding
Absolutely disgusting
