What's your favorite Linux distro and why.
I use good ol' Debian with KDE plasma.
Arch. Really nice package management is my main reason.

I've heard good things about Mint.
Could you tell me what you like about it?
Idk if I should use a different distro.

funtoo with plasma 5
Ubuntu 14.04. I actually like unity. Removing amazon is easy, too.
I've used debian, fedora, opensuse, centos, and mint, but Ubuntu is my favorite OS to use at home.
Currently using Manjaro as it had been a while since I used Linux when I installed it and I wanted to reacquaint myself with the basics.
Getting an ssd next week and wondering if I should just stick on Arch or should I attempt my first gentoo install, if only to see how it is. Any advice, /g/entlemen?

Well other than having dbo drivers issues/conflicts and it just werks?
Cinnamon (their default DE)bis relatively lightweight, looks good while being functional, and is almost Windows like in its use and simplicity. Based on Ubuntu 14.04 I think? So dependable, good selection of packages and if you've used an buntu, it and all the terminal commands will be familiar.
After having tried Ubuntu Unity, KDE, and Debian, I landed and stuck with Mint. Been using since Mint 15.
Have also installed it on a few laptops for friends/family who werent windows dependant. No complaints from any of them. Some claim it is bloated because of all the pre-installed software they give you, but that is just a matter of un-installing the stuff you dont want.
/g/ shits on it because of the "just werks" and simplicity but I love it.

Having no* driver issues. Fat fingered whoops.
Arch, id use Gentoo if it wasnt so damn unecesarily complicated to use.
I use what works for the job i need done. For my home server I use CentOS. For my desktop I don't use Linux because I have better things to do than try to impress /g/ with my minimalist anime desktop.

Haha. Fair enough.
xubuntu because its just werks

After an install that became a personal challenge. I hated arch after using pacman. I love it.
>>52128859
Gentoo with fvwm when I'm running X. (only really useful for firefox and mupdf since I keep everything in a tmux session anyway)
