Thinking about grabbing a Asus Strix 980 ti and for monitor either
Asus MG278Q
or
Asus MG279Q
besides brandfagging really hard and buying into "gaming monitors" good idea?
the strix is severely overpriced compared to others for almost no gains.
144Hz 1440p ips is god tier, would buy/10

Just buy this when it comes out

Get a 40" 4k display instead. It's way more enjoyable unless you're playing competitively and need the extra refresh rate.

nice bezel but holy shit I think that's too tryhard for my gaudy tastes
>>52126516
I think those monitors use FreeSync m8
You need a Gsync monitor if your gonna use a 980ti

have heard that nvidia was planning to give in and allow for freesync software support but that does seem out of character for them
that being said, I think freesync is the superior technology but I do enjoy nvidia cards more.
I want the ips for color balance because I do photography casually though
>>52126694
It will be 21:9
3440x1440
Gsync
100hz+
Ips
4ms
It will be the best monitor on the planet

It seems that you will need to make a choice
Then it seems like you will have to make a choice

rough price estimate? More than 650?
What is the best 1920p 60hz monitor currently?
>144hz
what a great marketing ploy to unload shitty components at a huge markup to the "gaming crowd"
>>52126821
about
$1300 US
£1000 UK
>>52127047
>the human eye can't process more than 60 fps
>I like wasting my money anyway

the dream was short lived but vivid and so beautiful

Not coming out until Feb start saving
or look at
Acer Predator XR341CK for freesync
or
Acer Predator X34 for Gsync
