Test it in a VM. Make a snapshop before you install it. That's how I test stuff like that. 3d performance is shit but it least then you'll know.

You could also wait a bit & keep an eye on the forums & what uncle Google has to say.
I also make an image of my HD once i've got the OS installed, fully patched & antivirused. This makes it easier if a HD borks too.
If you want to be extra paranoid you could clone your HD & only run doubtful shit off the clone.

I've used dazloader several times, including on refurbished builds in which I need an OS. It's worked for me, no viruses or anything.
Check the md5's, if they match the originals then you'll be fine
