The Asus Maximus Formula was the first high-end motherboard I bought there in 2008. He used an Intel Dual Core E7200 with a Geforce 8600 and 4GB memory. Then it was mutating to a Quad Core 6600 and 8GB of RAM.

That bitch begs to be overclocked.
Too bad you are fucking retarded op.
I'm using a mid-range motherboard from 2007.
I don't know if it's considered high end but I have an asus p5q-e with an e8400 duocore overclocked to 3.9ghz and it's worked fine since I bought it around 2008-9
High-end server > High-end consumer
Just look at this bitch. I dremel'd off the end of one of the x8 slots and threw in an HD5870, and it makes for a great poorfag gaming rig. Currently waiting on a pair of Xeon X5450s to put in it.
dunno if this counts, but I only paid €113 for it, brand new

>Linus pls go
I was bitching about the Linus' video because normalfags would learn about used Xeons. Hopefully enough, he did 0 research and his build was shit, so idiots like you still think new consumer CPUs are better. Also
>Supermicro
>Cheap and replaceable
Sure thing
P5K-E master race w. X9650 Core 2 Extreme

It's gaudy as fuck, but it's a pretty nice board. Tons of features that I'll probably never use, and a few that I actually do use.
>2008
>yeah who knows when I will need that parallel printer port in the future, there's plenty of old printers around
>never used it

Owned a Striker II Formula which is a similar board.
Changed TIM but it was so hard it cracked the NB chip so I got an ASUS P5N72-T Premium as a replacement.
Problem was the NB temps.
>bought maximus IV gene
>will probably never even use it to it's peak
I do like le edgee red/black though.
