There's a 7 year old Dell Latitude at work that's out-lasted every Macbook so far.

MacBooks are nice, but they make terrible Windows laptops. Apple hobbles the drivers so battery, trackpad, etc are just atrocious compared to comparably priced machines. If I have to run windows, I will pick a pre-spyware Thinkpad. Luckily I don't have to, so my MBP with Linux VMs is perfect.
