*arch is a meme
It's literally the most useless distro. It's targeted at desktops and sucks as a desktop OS.

Install openSUSE, or Fedora, instead, OP

IMO every other distro is bringing Arch down, it's what Linux should be:
Easy, provided you've read the well written and concise manual
It's easy OOTB and has tons if features you can explore in your own time
My first Linux experience was Gentoo, I installed it having never touched a Linux CLI before and only having played with Debian on a Pi at a friends for 5 minutes and had it installed in a couple hours, if you can't manage this, leave technology.

What's wrong with it?
yet you went out of your way to download an old kernel version and manually compile it from source?
hmmm

The only memer is you, OP

Mind you, installing Gentoo is more of a test of reading the walkthrough and correctly copying the commands.
>>52076602
Do you not know what minimal means?

9/10 times there's a decent amount of troubleshooting though, and there's a bit of thinking involved.
But install gentoo truly is a great thing.
