Am I retarded? I installed bunsenlabs but I keep hearing a bunch of shit about altitude being shit, Fabian having horribly outdated packages and such. An I stupid for ever installing bunsenlabs? Did I get ducked? Should I switch back to arch? I couldn't fucking figure out how to get access to yaourt and the AUR for some reason
yes
also what the fuck is bunsenlabs?

Basically the community continuation of #!
>>52075441
I've tried bunsenlabs and then I tried crunchbang plus plus. Crunchbang plus plus is much more usable. At least for the fine being

Why does a dead distro that was just debian with openbox installed by default need a continuation?
>>52076315
Time*
>>52076331
Because the Linux community is a fractured "muh snowflake" mess. 90% of distros are just a repackage of Debian or Fedora with a different DE and icon theme.
should i switch though that's what im wondering, tell my why or why I shouldn't switch
>>52076656
Just use Debian if your a masochist who loves APT, or switch to an RPM distro if you prefer sane package management. You can install openbox, i3, ratpoison, [insert hipster tiling wm here]... on any distro anyway.

is the lack of packages on debian a problem though? I'm having trouble even installing spotify and steam....
>>52075441
why did you install it? does it meet up with your expectations? perhaps your simply worried about investing a lot of time and effort into a new distro and finding out it was the wrong distro to choose later on? perhaps you will have that problem with arch. perhaps you should use bunsenlabs for a while, then choose another distro, getting better at switching between distro's, by adapting to different app programs, configuring and re-configuring, using different default configs, managing files and programs in a way that you can easily transfer to the other distro that is now better

>steam
Just get the .deb. It should be fine. I'm on #!++ and I've never really had any issues with Steam.https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/client/installer/steam.deb
What's the difference between this and #!++?
