Nah, I doubt it. Turntables are easy to find new or used, they're easy to fix, they last a long time, and records are good for more than two plays before the magnetic material starts flaking off. Not to mention there's a nostalgia factor in the mainstream; everyone had a turntable as a kid, everyone listened to records, they're a fixture in pop culture, and they make for nice display pieces.
Floppy disks didn't have that, they weren't made for media, computers that used them as a primary means of data transfer were expensive as fuck and rare in the home, most normalfags don't have a sense of nostalgia for copying spreadsheets to a disk, pretty much all post-nehalem systems don't have floppy controllers, and add-in controller cards are expensive as fuck.
CDs on the other hand will probably have that hipster nostalgia factor long after their expiration date has come and gone for the same reasons as vinyl, except it will be "90s kids" driving it. I'm not looking forward to that.

My grandmother have only learned to a single application and she switched to ubuntu-mate when windows got too slow for her laptop.
Obviously she had me install it, but she quickly learned how to use the laptop on the new system.
This is not even the average user.
She uses the computer once a month to do this one thing and she can figure out how to do it.
There are certain DE's which are a lot more consistent than windows and people have to adjust to new things with windows all the time.
Windows 8 was a lot less user friendly than mate, kde, gnome, cinnamon and xfce.
I know people on /g/ likes to tinker with things and likes to program their way out of every situation, but it doesn't have to be this way. For the average user, linux is easier, more consistent and runs on hardware windows gave up on.

These fucking things would crackle and pop whenever you tried to walk around the house. Which was the fucking point of a cordless phone.
Plus, like shitty earbuds of today, it was a crapshoot as to whether you'd get sound reproduction that was any good. For awhile, I actually preferred an old 900MHz analog cordless to the digital cordless, simply because the speaker quality was higher.
Also, someone in the family would consistently leave it in some weird place and/or never hang it back up, so the battery would die in the middle of your call.

My sister had to call the phone company to request an emergency break on our line because I forgot she went to the movie theater, and she'd been trying to call my parents for about an hour.
The end years of modems were pretty sweet, like achieving 57.6k with compression, neat technology, but the jump from a dial-up modem to always-on broadband is about the same as the jump from an isolated computer to a computer with a modem. I've basically lived through three eras of computing. Like, what you did with the computer has fundamentally shifted each time.

Seriously. PC gaming was just a huge annoyance. It got to the point that you were better off just tossing a disc in a console and firing it up. You were in for as much dicking around as on the PC, plus you didn't have to worry about going out on the Internet to find patches to fix hardware incompatibilities.
The ability for Steam to run games without a disc and automatically store (and restore if you reinstall) saved games in the "Cloud" is just awesome.

I REALLY don't understand it in this kind of discussion either, I was born in the 90's but growing up I used technology from the 70's and 80's because were were super poor. I used PC-DOS all the way past the release of Windows XP, halfway through XPs life I finally upgraded to Windows 2k and we had wireless phones in the house while other people were getting cell phones. This goes for everything you can think of too, VHS tapes well after DVDs had taken over, etc. I may be 10-20 years younger than some people but we grew up with the same tech, sometimes it was actually the same (their) tech passed down.
