it's a nice language to read, somewhat annoying to write, and if you use it you're required to complain about it even if you enjoy it

Their race detector is pretty decent actually.

But yeah, JVM languages are superior to Go in most ways, except memory use and JRE dependency. Go is really too imperative and too stripped down.
