Microsoft appreciation thread.

To all of you /g/. Let's bring the x-mas spirit in our head and ask our selves:
What do you like about Microsoft and it products?

I like how they have a good community at technical.

I like that most of the games run on Windows.

I like how they create jobs opportunities.

I'm no marketer. I simply think a bit out the box. Microsoft is not bad at all. Explain to me what is wrong with Microsoft

This.
Shit just runs on Windows nigga.
What I don't like about it, however, is the fact that it lacks the flexibility of Linux. I'd kill to have a linux terminal sometimes.

>flexibility

There is a lot you can change. Just not as much as Linux.

start8 is a great example
>>
>>52049224
I never said it lacks flexibility in general, just the flexibility of linux...
>>
>>52049224
Start8 is a fucking impossibly complex DLL hack that shouldn't exist in the first place, but instead shows of an interesting side effect and vulnerability of the NT process loader

They know just when you're sleeping
They know when you're awake
They know if you've been bad or good
So install Gentoo for Stallman's sake

Canonical and it's Ubuntu are the holly grail for the mainstream Linux user. They follow the shit out of you too. Also after installing gentoo and Firefox or even chromium.. You go on Google or bing and are tracked again. You buy something on amazon you are tracked.

Pls stop shilling. There are a lot of /g/ meme but Microsoft isn't even good enough for irony.

Microsoft has been a continuously shitty company for 40 years now. Every year is new shit to hate them for. No need for a long winded grudge on an old fault when they make it so easy.

Top fucking kek. How much are they paying you currynigger?
>>
>>52049252
Come to think of it, most Windows customizations outside of themes are horrible hacks. NTs an absolute shit kernel too.

The only reason this is true is because of DirectX and the openGL committee's slowpoke retardation.
>>
>>52049403

They are not perfect. Nobody stated that.
This is also the case with Linux.

So I ask you mister OP, and you, Great Folk of /g/landia. Can it run it? T420 10 ya or nie?

I'm pretty annoyed with Windows right now honestly because Linux doesn't feel the need to BEEP at me every time I press a combination of keys that triggers ghosting, despite my disabling such settings in the BIOS and turning off shit like Sticky Keys.

Apparently MS has decided that I NEED to know I've pressed a bad combo of keys and offers no way to disable it.

Especially when they try to do anything "modern" (mobile, web).
