Yes, it uses a chip that is more than 6 months newer than both of them and is also clocked higher.
>>
>>52038348
And this would affect your Facebook shitposting how, exactly?
>>
>>52038373
Note 5 was released in September and has a chip which is as new as the one in the 6S.

Samshill BTFO.
>>

>>
>>52038416
It uses the same chip as the S6 that was released in April you stupid cunt.
>>
Who cares?

Games run the same way on a shitty moto g and a iphone 6s.

can someone please tell OP that the numbers 4545 and 5328 are bigger than 4460.

also:
>apple used less cores than their competitors.

apple didn't make a faster cpu, they just used a different core count. if samsung decided to use less cores they could beat apple's single core performance but android prefers more cores while iOS prefers single threaded performance.
>>
>>52043092
Yeah because multicore score totally matters way more than single core as relevant to day-to-day performance

>single core performance is what is important because apps dont use multiple cores!
Say the fags who don't realize that Android will actually utilize all available cores for all apps.
>>
>>52043855
You're mom also uses multiple cores at once, lol
>>
>>52043092
if we're looking at both scores, the amount that the iPhone is behind the android phones in multicore performance is relatively small (4480 vs 5330, in the "worst case" where we compare the better of the android scores).

the difference in single core performance flips the other way, but the difference is proportionally enormous compare to the spread on multicore performance. 2550 versus 1480 (in the best case) or 1320 (in the worst case) is a massacre.

Huh? Its a nexus device, it gets android versions immediately, the other is a Note5, which has already had a build leak and is going to rollout the 6.0 update in the next few weeks to all note5 owners. It's only been ~2 months since 6.0 launched, most other manufacturers are only just now getting 6.0 updates out as well, for samsung this is pretty quick. It used to take 6 months or more sometimes.
>>
>>52043880
>had a build leak

I don't like iOS but this is all such transparent apologist bullshit that it's a little embarrassing.
>>
How bout that VR for iPhone? oh wait...
>>
>>52043872
Fact is, though, that Android will utilize multiple cores for everything. You can see this if you install Perfmon and enable the CPU display.
One or two cores will always be active while the device is on, but if you launch an app usually all the rest will ramp up and they'll all be active when the app is processing.

The only apps that won't utilize multiple are ones that do very little processing and ones that are set to specifically be single threaded, of which there are relatively few.

The multicore score might not be important for iOS but it is for Android.
>>
>>52043899
How so?

Looking at previous android updates, 4-6 months after it launched on nexus devices it would trickle down to other manufacturers devices.

2 months aint bad at all...

>synthetic benchmarks
Remember when people said the same about the iPhone 6 and nexus 5?
Yet the 1 year old nexus 5 still outperformed the new iPhone 6 despite losing in benchmarks.
Come back when you've got a side by side comparison of real world usage.
>>
>>52043984
You shouldn't have to wait for trickle down economics to take effect on software updates. it's only because we don't know any better that we seriously think this is a good situation - certainly better than it used to be - for mobile operating systems.

android users are like kids who think that being neglected by their parents 5 days a week is standard practice for parenting. with no frame of reference, they honestly think that having to work with leaked builds, waiting months for new operating systems to trickle over to their devices, and seeing devices released just a few months earlier getting relegated to second class status is all totally normal.

it's not. this is fucking awful. when iOS updates to a new version you know on day 1 whether your device is getting that version entirely, partially, or not at all. and since iPhones tend to come out once a year, it's unlikely that anyone will buy a device and find 6 months later that their flagship phone is already a second class citizen.
>>
What's new?
>>
>>52044069
there's no way to make replicable real world usage tests. anything you standardize becomes a target for being "too synthetic". companies learn to optimize for whatever the test does because it's routinized.

if you're asking for a touchy feely side by side comparison, you're not going to find one. maybe MKHBD (or whatever tech nigger's name is) has what you're looking for.
>>
>>52044067
Didn't say it was but you seem to be using that as an excuse.
>>
>>52044121
We are actually in a better situation now.

The top Android makers are pushing out security updates monthly now. My phone, which is more than a year old and doesn't have 6.0 yet, has the December security update which means that it has the same security patches as Nexus phones that have 6.0 and are also on the December security update.

The security updates may not have gone back to older devices but going forward this is a better position than we have been.
>>
>>52044121
Nexus gets updates like ios though so your argument against Android is negligable.
Other OEMs need to fix the update to work on their devices because they're not stock vanilla android and have to update a variety of devices which is why it takes longer.

>>52044140
Synthetic benchmarks don't mean shit. Until I see a side by side comparison of the devices being used I'm not believing shit.
>>
>>52044292
>We are actually in a better situation now.
yes, better than the shitshow we were in for like half a decade. that's like going from being actively abused by parents to merely being neglected most of the time. we get patches for issues that threaten core security but any features people would look forward to get in line like it needs to be rationed out.

this is exactly the kind of apologist shit i'm talking about. stop meekly trying to justify this; iOS for all of its shit doesn't leave 90% of its users wondering whether and when they'll get their updates.
>>
>>52044311
>Synthetic benchmarks don't mean shit. Until I see a side by side comparison of the devices being used I'm not believing shit.
so like literally seeing someone using both devices side by side in an 18 hour video of daily use?

i don't know what to say. being autistic must really debilitate you.
>>
>>52044365
Just 5 minutes of common usage.
Open facebook scroll up and down a bit.
Open internet browser do a couple of searches.
Just open a bunch of apps and use them for a few seconds.
No need for 18 hours, but for autsists like you, I'm sure basic mathematics must be a mountain to climb.
>>
>>52044425
you understand that various approaches to caching would influence repeated checks of facebook, internet browser, etc... right?

and the "nuh uh, you are" shitposting really suits you, autist.

Ios != android.
Just because one processor benches slightly better than the other doesn't mean that phone is faster.
Real world usage > any synthetic benchnark.
