who /cm13/ here?
I might flash it to my Samsung GS3 as I see they're supporting the device again on the nightly builds.
I tried to burn it on my Moto G (XT1068), but it was unusable.
I will try again in 1/2 weeks imo
Works perfectly well on xt1039.
I'd use CM if there was a relatively way to root my 5.0.1 GS4.
>>52028737
A guy supports my device (LG L90) since CM11, and CM13 nightlies started appearing on the CyanogenMod website a week ago. Absolutely based.
>>52028772
What nightly?
>>52028800
20151218
I haven't updated in a week, I'll do a new one this week end. There haven't been major flaws in months honestly.
>>52028825
Eeeew, are you speaking about CM12 ?
>>52028847
Peregrine hasn't had a CM12.1 nightly since november, the fuck you're talking about. The dev is fully devoted to CM13 now
There's an alpha but it's too early to update yet.
I tried it on my note 3 but GPS refused to work and a lot of ui elements broke when I changed my dpi to a more comfortable setting for me. Back on 12.1 for now.
>>52028727
CM13 on opo here.
Works good, pretty much a better and lightweight version of CM12.1.
>>52028783
quarx is god
>>52028783
and btw how is it?
since all pajeets are only shitposting on xda
Almost all ROM's for the Galaxy S4 based on Android M are stable, but none of them have SD card working properly.
>>52028727
It is available for Nexus 4 (:
https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=mako
Blackberry Hub/Calender didn't want to cooperate so I went back to 12.1 on my note 3
is cm a botnet? ive heard it doent even have root preinstalled anymore
Is there even any point to install cm13 when all I want is good battery life and stock kitkat from samsung already gives me about 3 days?
Are there any really significant improvements between kitkat and marshmallow that should make me switch?
>>52028772
Good to hear! I'm planning on flashing later today. Are you a britbong?
>>52028727
I'm waiting for worthy MM roms. Many features aren't ported yet(cm didn't have them to begin with).
>>52028737
they added support back for gs3 like a week ago, wtf happened?
>>52028778
you don't need to root the stock rom to install CM
i went straight from stock to CM on my S4 (without even using stock, like, at all, i bought it and went straight to download mode to flash CM)
LG G3 (verizon), on CM 12.1 right now, gonna wait for snapshot of CM13 before I flash again
Oh wow, finally a thread about CM13! I installed it yesterday on my phone but had to revert back to CM12.1 because it kept on rebooting every few minutes, ergo unusable...
Anyone else here have a workaround for this? Or am I just going to have to wait until a version comes out that doesn't randomly reboot?
>>52029468
How are you up by it with the constant reboots? I installed the 23122015 version last night and can confirm that it gives constant reboots.
>>52029942
You can select to have the phone rooted at will... Really handy for those annoying as shit apps that refuse to work if you have a rooted phone; Sky Go, 4oD etc.
>>52028727
here, mounting sultan's rom on my bacon.
ask away if you'd like to hear my experience with it
>>52030710
What's so different to Sultan's ROM compared to the versions that CM release themselves?
>>52028727
Well, I wanna try it, but I'm worrin to flashin/rootin my new zenfone2
>>52030787
Root phone, make backup of stock ROM or have some convenient ROM that definitely works on your phone's memory, then flash away.
>>52029970
Security updates alone are a good enough reason to update to CM12 or if possible CM13.
>>52030810
I heard a couple rumors about people bricking their zenfone2 just by rooting. Maybe they're just an assholes
Why the fuck didn't they just go ahead with multiwindow instead of chickening out? And how does Omnirom get away with it? Fuck cyanogen seriously
>>52030887
Or retarded...
>>52030899
Cyanogen has multiwindow. I was using it on CM13 last night before all the random reboots.
>>52030939
Do a screenshot please?
>>52030952
I don't have CM13 anymore bro but I can tell you that you simply activate it in the developer options.
>>52028763
XT1068 here, it's pretty stable for me, never had an issue yet. just one noticeable bug with landscape mode that doesn't annoy you much.
I have a GS4 (unsure what model it is), updates from samsung seems to be borked (download got interrupted, now tells me that all latest updates has been installed despite being clearly in KitKat).
I want to try out custom roms like CM, but I have some questions:
1. Is there any risk of bricking my phone?
2. Can I restore it to stock ROM with relative ease?
3. Is there a stable CM13 for Galaxy S4?
>>52030960
You're lying
>>52028727
Note 3 reporting. Dat battery life.
Only issue is some xposed modules dont work quite as i'd hoped.
>>52030899
>doesn't even try it
>hurr durr, why doesn't it have feature x?
Lazy fucks like you, who can't even use the search function, are the reason XDA and the custom firmware community has become cancer.
Pic related, it's my nexus 5 running the official CAF branch.
>>52030986
>1. Is there any risk of bricking my phone?
yes
>2. Can I restore it to stock ROM with relative ease?
yes
>3. Is there a stable CM13 for Galaxy S4?
no
>>52030998
You're retarded.
https://youtu.be/CstywPaZpDQ
>>52030696
Not the guy you are asking but I flashed that too on my opo last night. I had reboots with 22 but I suspect it was the flashed kernel. Switched to radioactive kernel which is stable and had no reboots so far.
Hoping the battery improves, so far I'm not impressed, although I saw doze kick in overnight it still lost 18% while I slept so that's needs work.
>>52029604
It's turned out to be as usable as 12.1 for me. Root, SD writing rights, camera, and everything else is ok. No major bugs in sight.
>>52029586
True.
>>52031073
I did some research and believe that it's because CM had went from Android 6 to 6.01, and it's since that update that the reboots have started happening... So I'm just going to wait and see what happens with releases in the new year and then go through the effort of flashing my phone again.
Cyanogenmod 13 on LG G3, love it
>>52030856
damn, might look into it then
>>52031178
Is that the "element" theme?
How is it on android 4.4?
how can I stop cm from lagging so much after installing nightlies almost every day for a month?
I would try it but I'm a complete newfag at stuff like this and I can't find proper instructions that aren't written in broken english by indians
GooglePS fucking rape my battery with their wakelocks on CM.
Went back to stock ICS and I'm enjoying the battery life so far. STAMINA mode for the fucking win.
>>52029942
It can be enabled at will, really useful for apps which detect root and refuse to work if you've rooted.
>>52031307
What phone do you have? The exact model code in the "about phone" panel.
>>52031300
Jesus Christ.
Just do a clean install once every month or two, anon.
>>52031273
Depends on your phone, really. Lollipop runs better than Kitkat on my phone, but that might not be the matter for everyone else.
>>52031331
Asus Z008D
>>52031300
Why the fuck would you update your OS every day? There's not enough changes in every nightly build, they're automatic.
>>52031337
Do you mean wipe the phone and then install as new? that sounds like more hassle
>>52031358
I don't know, it just seemed like a good idea, not that the patch notes are very well explained though
>>52031395
Yeah, but aren't you tired of downloading the same files every day? Either do clean flashes, or update less, like once per two weeks. The changes aren't too big, either. It's not worth it to update every single day.
You can read the changelogs at cmxlog.com, if you're curious what's being changed.
>>52031395
Normally there's a changelog on the devs site, blog, or xda thread. Normally there's no point in upgrading more often than once a month.
>>52031347
That's not the model code, but I guess you have the lower-end zenfone 2 (ze550ml). It's not the most noob friendly device to flash indeed, but you have plentiful resources on xda. Here are two links to get you started.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/asus-zenfone-2-flashing-recovery-mode-t3096596
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/orig-development/rom-unofficial-cyanogenmod-12-1-nightly-t3164144
>>52031464
That's what it says in the about section. Anyway yes that's the model, thanks.
>>52031464
Samefag here, forgot to mention this. You need to root, flash a custom refinery and vunlock the bootloader before you can get to custom roms. It sounds complicated the first time you do it, but you only need to do these steps once.
Me un moto g Falcón, no problems
>>52031430
>>52031449
Guess I'll just start updating less frequently :(
I would be happy with monthly snapshots but there was only one CM12 for the Nexus 5 so I've not got high hopes
>>52031499
You've linked to the CM 12 thread on xda, I assume the installation process is the same for CM 13 right?
>curryniggermod
No, I use Nexus 5 and stock 6.0.1 with Xposed is far better.
COS 13 when?
>>52031518
Do a clean flash of the CAF branch. The lollipop version is the best ROM I've ever tried on my nexus 5. Too bad I'm a total sucker for the latest version of Android.
>>52031577
Yep, it's the same dev, I linked the cm12 version because I suppose it's more stable. In the beginning you'll probably want to have a decently stable experience, not the latest, bleeding edge rom. But feel free to try both of them if you have the time.
When the random reboots are removed from CM13, I'm there.
>>52031630
Alright, thanks again
When can we be expecting CM13 with no random reboots?
Is there anything that really makes this worth using over stock AOSP? I have a Nexus 6. I don't care about the botnet and that's related to gapps anyway.
Any actual features that Google don't have?
>>52032984
Not really. I'd rather run an AOSP ROM. People mostly install CM because it's the cleanest ROM supported, as opposed to stock firmware, it's mods, and countless hacky xda builds.
>>52028727
I would be, if it weren't for faggots not releasing the method behind this.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCibUxoagiM
Verizon note 4 method pls
Is CM13 supported on the XT1575 (Moto X Pure)
Anyone tried it on i9300? I'd like to flash it bit it doesn't work as secondrom on my kernel
>>52028727
LG L70, finally official, but not stable yet, might wait for snapshot builds.
>>52029468
>>52030696
>>52031073
cm13 on opo here. i've probably had a random reboot every other day since flashing 20151217 but the battery life is pretty decent
>>52028727
Google on tap doesn't work on my Moto G (Falcon)
>>52036468
When I installed it last night, all I was getting was a random reboots every couple of minutes for some reason...
>>52028727
>Cyangonmod.
I have Chroma now, because the devs of Purity never updated their ROM and it was slugging, Chroma picked up the speed, however I'll miss the features the ElementalX kernel provided me.
I might flash it to my N4. How is it? Worth flashing?
Cm13 is fucking unusable
Sg3/
Phone reboots and phone calls drop
I seriously.think the XDA community is legitimately retarded. They probably don't even use their fucking phones as a mobile cellular device. Fucking curry morons
Welll
Went from cm11s to Oxygen IS to Cyanogen OS.
What are my options for cm13?
>>52030128
what the fuck, no cm12 but we get 13? what is going on
>>52028727
>tfw no cm13 build for the i9100 out yet
>>52028727
Waiting for it on my i9500 . Will wait until an official build or one relatively stable.
>installs cm13 in xt1063
>shit battery
>hours later apply theme
>bootloop
>>52038020
Hey I have the same phone. Gonna stick with CM 12.1 until at least a snaphot is available.
So does anyone else feel that google are releasing new android versions a bit too fast? My Z1 barely has working lollipop and now there's MM, at this rate they will run out of candy to name android in two years time.
And fuck material design btw more like web 2.0 ver 2.
Android/Google need to fix:
Ban vendorware, root as default or atleast easily achievable.
CM need to stop:
Including their lame as fuck recovery in their builds (maybe only a z1 issue)
Making their builds require special snowflake gapps
>>52031588
>curryniggermod
You tried
I want to flash CM13 because 6.0 looks nice but there are only nightlies for my phone.
stable release when
>>52031267
No, its the pichBlack dark red theme
Latest zenfone 2 nightly is pretty stable.
>>52035925
>tfw the tracfone variant (lg l41c) is just different enough that l70 roms don't boot
Dammit all to hell
Waiting for the marshmallow build of Mokee to be released desu senpai
