Is that thing stacked?
Why would they stack those speeds, don't you want to compare 1 and 2+?
Why on earth would you want to know the sum of the speeds of two protocols over time?
When is that ever relevant?
Couldn't they just make two line charts?
>>52024414
It isn't stacked m8. Adsl2+ is capable of triple the speed of adsl1.
>>52024031
>ADSL
I thought everybody had fiber in their homes by now
>>52024791
yuropoors don't, but they're irrelevant anyway
>>52024548
still sounds like an engineering tragedy
What kind of sadsack spends his life designing a protocol that's purposefully gimped compared to a decades old alternative that's only a little bit more expensive?
>>52025008
Well at least we have our freedom and we aren't owned by NSA/FB and Google :^)
>>52025016
because the infrastructure is already laid, and much more common than cable.
here's where i'm at atm
>>52025008
> Yuropoors
Not so sure you got that one right.
Too bad the Net Index is down now...

>What kind of sadsack spends his life designing a protocol that's purposefully gimped compared to a decades old alternative that's only a little bit more expensive?
what are you referring to as an alternative?
>>52025283
duh, everyone should buy a DS3 or 4
>>52025333
huh? what do playstation controllers have to do with this?

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=t+carrier
>>52025370
hmm, i've seen the term "T1" ages ago in some video game configuration pages, but know nothing else about it
does it work over POTS ("plain old telephone service") wires? because that's what ADSL is made for
>>52025432
t carriers are over telephone copper, but the digital signal standard is media agnostic. given the distance a ds3 or higher is often carried it typically switches to coax, fiber and/or ethernet one or more times.
a t-carrier is YOUR tunnel and far superior to adsl.
>>52024031
>There exists people on this planet that still use dial up/ADSL
I truly feel sorry for them.
Meanwhile, this is the lowest fiber internet speed I can get. It only goes up from here.
>>52024031
>get 8mbit ADSL1
>ADSL2 is not available

what speed can it do over ~2.5KM? (node > house)
