What are your favorite cases /g/?

I absolutely love the way this looks but its either get a big ass one or a small one with no 5.25" slot which I absolutely need.
>>
>>52019465
I have one and its quite nice. Coming form a full to we it's not a huge deal. You reduce the vertical height and just put it into the width., but you get benefits from the dual storage design.
>>
>>52019465
How well does this case work on it's side to where the transparent panel is facing up? Would it look weird?
>>
>>52019562
Unless you prop up the side underneath you'll cut off air intake to the PSU.

Aside from that I don't see any issues.

I'm waiting for the V21 to go on sale for my MicroATX server I'm building. It looks like its probably the best option as far as square cases go within the form factor.

you're retarded because 1600 actually IS the norm for DDR3, going above that is pointless unless you use integrated graphics (but who does that amirite)

I have the white version of that case. It is fucking huge, but that's actually a good thing. You have plenty of room for your video cards, and to work. It's designed to make cable management easy, and the two hot-swap bays for HDs is nice if you swap drives out a lot.

It's also designed to promote better airflow, which was the primary reason I bought it--the aesthetics of was the other, lesser reason. I have an AMD system--FX 8320, and dual R9 280x gpus--and I was having trouble keeping temps within a reasonable range. I noticed a huge difference immediately, with just the stock fans that come with it. I'm still planning to get into liquid cooling though, and all that extra space inside is going to be good for that too.

There may be better cases, and probably are, but I'm very satisfied with this one. I'd highly recommend it.

It's the first non-budget case I've ever bought. I always thought it stupid to pay $150 for a metal box when I could get a generic one for $25-50. I definitely see what a huge difference a nicer one can make now.
>>
>>52019465
>>52032652
I also bought the white one. I love the form factor and the room for 2 GPU's.

Just got an s340 in the mail for 60 bucks shipped on jet.com. The h440 was like 50 more bucks on amazon and didn't really seem to have 50 dollar worth of more features. It had like three more fans. I'd just suggest that people settle for the 340. It's a nice case.
>>
>>52033302
>It had like three more fans
3 fans of nice quality will run you just under $50, usually.

Design Define R5 is the best case I've ever worked with, and I've built a lot of cases.

It's got great airflow, is very quiet, has no stupid flashing lights or windows that scream you're prepubescent, SSD mounting slots, velcro strips for cable management, and a lot of different options with the frame itself (you can disassemble and modify it heavily).

Definitely the best case I've ever worked with.
>>
>>52039790
Either I leave the vents closed and its quiet but hot, or I open them and it's loud as shit but has more reasonable temps.

It's fantastic for water cooling, but pointless for a standard air cooled build.

You can fit everything inside that tiny little ITX case except for dual GPU builds. Hell, you can even fit a 240mm rad or an NH-D15 along with a full length GPU, all with air filters in a case no bigger than a cooler master Elite 130.

I just ordered the matx version of that case the other day. Should be coming in next week, and I'm pretty hyped. Gonna be transfering from the clown car of a case that is the Spec-01. Worst case decision ever.

Aside from the 240, I also really love the Ncase M1, Define S and the Enthoo Pro, but I went with the 240 because the form factor a good tradeoff between size and expandability in my eyes. My desk is really cramped so I wanted to get a smaller case, but I didn't want to go too small (yet, anyway).

I've got the R4, it's fuxking great. The R5 does have improvements but the only one that even mattered to me is that the PSU and bottom fan filter is easier to access (from the front rather than the rear.)

I would go for it if its a decent amount cheaper than a new R5.

When I was a youngin', I used to think that Cooler Master was the shit. After a couple of cases that rusted and tarnished terribly, I just think they're shit now.

What's your case history for your main desktop, /g/?
1. Cooler Master Centurion - Babby's first build, it was cheap. Rusted as fuck.
2. Cooler Master CM 690 II - Second build. Didn't rust as much, but the metal tarnished very badly.
3. Fractal Design Define R4 - Anodized steel is a godsend. No rust, no tarnish, great dust control options.
