They had a "happy hour" from 9PM-3AM every day where you got free premium service (unlimited downloads with no timers or advertisements at 12.5 megabytes a second or more). Normally you had to install their adware toolbar but it was a cookie easily emulated via Greasemonkey script.
When they cut the happy hour to two hours instead, that was when shit really started to go downhill.
