example:
i'm looking for how many time the phrase "i'm gay" has been used on twitter from 12.1.2015 to 12.20.2015

You can probably do it in R or Python
Use some log analysis software like Splunk or ELK-Stack and pipe all tweets into it.
There's no need to code something new, all of this shit already exists.
