Seriously though, be glad that you have a spare terabyte disk you can use in a case of emergency. Better yet, if you have at least a terabyte of total disk space in use elsewhere, just use the spare HDD to back up everything (or as much as possible) regularly.

Not OP, but I have never used more than 150GB of disk space in my entire life. I've heard that people somehow fill 2TB hard drives just doing average joe stuff and I have no idea how.
