Yes, I've got the PS2 linux kit as well. Never used it because I could never find a monitor it worked on.
btw, how decent was this on the ps2? I mean for the time 40GB HDDs and the amount of RAM etc were pretty similar to what was the norm on PC's, just curious if anyone actually used it day to day.

you can probably get this on Isozone or some other obscure rom site no problem. Doubt you could emulate it though, and you would probably need an old fat model with the network adapter so you could plug in a harddrive.
Reminder that you used to be able to install Linux or any BSD on the PS3 but Sony actually removed this feature in an update. Just like they removed the ability of some PS3s to do software emulation of PS2 games. Reminder that Sony is literally the devil.

Funny, I was the same.
There is a controller button combination that gets it working on TVs.
I forgot what it was though. I am sure it was two L or R buttons together. (1 2 or 3, try all of them)
You had to hold it during boot I think.
5 years it took me to figure that out.
I never did even get around to using it.
By the time I was interested, the Sony community for it had pretty much dried up, then I am sure it got closed entirely.
