On the radio around here the local DJ does an add that plays a lot and in it she mentions that on facebook she saw a meme. When she describes it all she was talking about was a stupid fucking picture with captions that had nothing to do with any other picture.
This is the one of the most popular stations in the city and this ad plays once per break. It makes me groan every time.

It's been months since I have graduated, life has been very terrible,hence I less frequent my account these days
Prior to that I used it for interacting with animu and manga groups when I used to be a weeb.
It's has left a very bad taste in my mouth.
These groups are nothing but hug boxes to circlejerk their terrible taste. I was no exception to that, but whenever I used to post about good stuff, it went ignored. Frustrated and seeing some becoming "stars" of the group whose any filth get more attention. I quit altogether (with lots of drama).
When I look back then, I realize how much of a stupid I was, trying to get some cred like that popular kid, except it happened online.
I wish I were wiser then.

This, I have "deleted" my facebook page and haven't been on in years. I live 1800 Miles from the nearest known family member and life moves on up there without me. It's difficult to keep track of anything or anyone since they all use facebook so i hear nothing from them most of the time when someone dies, gets married, etc. etc.

Eh.. I only get on there to post something like once a month. My post is usually either a picture from a hunting/fishing trip, a picture of my dog, a picture of some new dish I cooked, or a post about something odd and/or funny that happened to me..
I'll try to scroll through my news feed every once in a while but I hate just seeing a bunch of shared clickbait stories and no "original content". The reason I started using Facebook back in 2006 was to keep up with what my friends from high school were doing when we all went off to different colleges, I don't care about meme pictures or buzzfeed bulshit....
I'm mostly there to pretend that I actually have a life. I mostly just lurk, leave a comment if I'm in a pic or if I'm tagged, say happy birthday to people I care about and that's it.
And not because "facebook is evil" or some other neckbeard reason, it's just because FB is a massive load of shit where people share shit that other people couldn't give less of a shit about. Shit.
