Something to go under it and help support the far end heatsink, or something like a fishing like attached to the plastic shroud should do.
Just make sure it can't short out your card and it's fine.

Measure your parts beforehand. Pick your case first, then select cooler, and so on, to make sure they fit.
>>
Anyone have dual powercolor or Sapphire 390(X)s? Some guy yesterday had x2 MSI 390s and said the temps were 80-90c so I'm wondering what it looks like with two decent coolers since I'm going to CF a pair of Sapphire's.

How loud is your machine?
>>

It's not. Using 5x Arctic F12 fans with a fan controller, so it's very quiet. The video card is rather loud once it ramps up, but that's what I get for buying EVGA shit.

Graphics card is kind of old, i'm definitely going to upgrade before i but the new displays. GT 120 512mb RAM...but i don't do a lot of 3D stuff with it, so it works fine for me now.

Also need to buy more SSD into this.

24Gb of RAM, but i'm getting some more later. up to 128Gb support.

2 x 2.66 GHz 6-Core Xeon.

Put the second optical drive in the second slot...nothing too much more to say. It's 2010, but still devours anything i throw at it. Any sort of rendering it still handles very well.
>>
>>51986916
Did some research, one guy with the same two cards in the same configuration with about the same airflow as in my case has the top one running 20 degrees hotter on average, still within tolerance and without the card slowing its frequency because of the heat. Ill monitor that closely, but it should be fine if I dont try to overclock them. They are factory overclocked anyway.

The one problem I've had so far with the c70 is the rubber grommets for the top fans look shit since the scews never center perfectly and always go off to the side slightly.

Those don't worry me other than that I'm scared they'll snap off one day. But that's just me so used to cheap cases falling apart on me. I own several surplus ammo cans, so I know how to use these kinds of clasps.

This thing is tough. It's not pretty, and it doesn't have the best cooling, but it's obviously more for the person who is gonna move it around a lot. I wouldn't recommend it if you're gonna build it, then let it sit and never move it.
