Just got a B.S. in Applied Math.
Oh and I've been coding since middle school.
What technology job should I get? Dubs decides where I start applying on linkedin.
Live in Southern California btw.
I will apply to more than one place, so keep the dubs coming.
Try something cryptography related maybe?

I would actually love to work as a data scientist for mindgeek but they have few positions available and they're all in Montreal.

You should learn some actual CSci if you haven't already.
The fact that you don't differentiate between programming and software engineering is significant. There's a huge difference. Companies aren't going to suck your cock in the interview just because you "know how to code", because that's not what software engineering is.
Of course it's entirely possible that you know the difference. I'm just saying that a lot of people don't, and they assume that "knowing how to code" is enough. It's not.
All the same, read some books on software engineering and actual computer science if you don't have that knowledge already. If you don't understand the difference, between coding and CS, then you aren't nearly as much of a shoe-in as you think you are.

i heard that SAP is known for employing autists like you. you could also be a factory-worker at lego. they're the ones who sort the pieces and put them in their designated set. of course you could always work as a trap-prostitute, like most mathematicians.

unpopular opinion, there is no difference
if you know how to code you should know about OOPing, common data structures and formal design methods
If you don't know shit about those you've gone to a community college or you're a self-taught code monkey
Data science or cryptography? Game development? Math is very useful
You can snag a hefty payday for solving Project Euler problems that have less than 100 solves.

What made you choose Applied Math over Statistics if you wanted a data science job? Genuinely curious because it seems like a lot of data science jobs want good coding chops and statistics.

Stats option at my school had some strict requirements for coursework, applied math is the same degree but way more flexible on electives so I can take compsci courses if I wanted to.

Ahhh, I see.
I'm planning on majoring in Stats. The only problem is that my school doesn't offer Stats courses very often, so sometimes I'd have to wait a whole year to get a prerequisite course done if i'm unable to register in it for next semester, or something like that. I'm seeing my stats advisor tomorrow to see if i can get a prerequisite waived to take a course next semester that's not offered again until Spring 2017. If I can get into it, then I'll be on track to graduate by Spring 2017. If not, then I'd probably be graduating in the fall of 2018. Brutal.
If I'm not able to get the prerequisite waived, then I'll have to look into other majors cause I just want to graduate as soon as possible. Applied Maths will be my first look.
