upgrading psu in week or two, graphic card when i finally decide what to get, atm leaning towards r9 390, might just wait for pascal/arctic islands tho.

atm they are enough. 28-30C on idle cpu, something like 55-60 at normal load, with cpu fan profile set to quiet.
i could add more fans but what for really?

got real (and good paying, at least for my country standards) job, wanted to get something decent finally (after getting ~400-500€ upgrades each 3-4-5 years) in smaller chunks month over month, first being case, mobo, cpu and cooler last month, this month psu, gpu either next month or when pascal/arctic islands comes out. maybe ssd before gpu if i decide to wait with gpu.
got decent case with lots of space because i dont want to bother with changing it for a long time. with this if i ever decide to get really long gpu or water cooling i got space for it already.

Suppose it depends on the resolution/settings/and the card itself. My CPU usually doesn't go above 50c, but my 390 will almost always hit 60c during games.
I debated waiting for AC, but I just decided to CF two 390s and have a decent system for a few years. Then I noticed my Pro4 has a weird spot for the PCI x1 slot which makes CF impossible with 2 slot GPUs. I love the fan header placement on the Pro4, but the E4's are pretty weird.

PSU gets here Tuesday, waiting to see if the Sapphire goes on sale since I can't get 2 rebates. Otherwise I may buy the Powercolor for $289.

The multimonitor support is shit in 7 and for some reason windows crashes itself overnight constantly

Windows 10 is fucking worse. Explorer crashes constantly and needs to restart many times. The auto update is absolute horseshit. Stick with Windows 7.

when i am cranking 4k, they are both at 90+ but the frames are steady, full blast the coolers and they hang around 80s at 4k. great cards though

Those fuckers run hot and loud. Stupid really considering MSI 290/390s are some of the highest overclock ceiling cards.
Waiting on Zen guts here. Fucking. Kind of wanting to buy a gtx 950. Just to fuck around with honestly. I always loved getting a budget card overclocked to the nines. Reminds me of my younger years when I didn't have money to buy what I wanted and had to make due with what I had on hand.

You should have seen what my PC looked like when I was running 2 powercolor 290's. Less than 2mm between the cards. Top card ran 25C hotter than bottom.

My CPU and GPU temperatures never go over 50c even under intense loads but it still looks meh. There are no wire slots anywhere really. If anyone has any suggestions, do tell me. The case is a rosewill legacy u2-b.

The part where the fans are. Not the board or the heatsink, which pretty much take up a slot each. I've got a Define S that can hold something like 450mm cards so the length isn't much of a problem.
390 Powercolor is only $269 after rebate though which is pretty damn good over the $334 Sapphire.
Found these in my closet, dusty and sad. They've seen better days. Tech moves so fast now, 2 liquid cooled gtx 670's aint worth dick. The offers I got were so low I'd rather have them as an ornament on my shelf.

I added two 140mm fans up top, removed the optical drive completely, AND bumped up my 2500k to 4.8GHz while keeping voltage at 1.345V

Oh it's great. 60 FPS max settings in just about everything. Have mainly been playing Guild Wars 2, which is more CPU dependent, but I've been messing around with AC Syndicate and it's solid. FPS, noise and heat were my main concerns and the Sapphire card is great for those. Just ordered my 2nd card and my Extreme4 so I'll have it in 2-3 days.

Like this Acer with it's toolless drive mounts and easily latching side panel with thumb screws (and also a warranty void sticker so you can't open it anyway)
That CPU fan is obnoxious though, it aggressively spins up whenever you do anything.

I need to take an updated pic but this is what I had when I first assembled this fucker. I've since cleaned up the wires and put my RAM into both channels to enable dual channel. I need to take a new pic but it's such a hassle to pull the whole thing back out.

There really isn't a lower with the Pro4. I'm using 5 slots total and I can't really run the cards too close together or the top one will have really high temps. If I move card #2 lower it'll right next to the PSU and I'll have the same problem.

If multi monitor support is something you need and you find yourself not liking Windows 10, try DisplayFusion. I've been using it on Windows 7 for a few years and it makes a huge difference.
