If I'm blocking all scripts and third party frames in uo, what use does uMatrix have? It just seems to be too fine grained.

That depends on how you use SDC.You can *kind of* set up uMatrix to be SDC-like. You can block cookies by default and just allow cookies on a per-site basis. But you can't have have it allow all by default and then delete them automatically after you close the tab. So SDC is still preferably to most users, unless you block cookies very aggressively.

uMatrix is indeed more fine grained. But it's also easier to unbreak sites with it, since you can just allow one particular domain like a CDN instead of temporarily unblocking 3rd-party altogether etc. It also includes some additional features in the Privacy tab.

Well yeah but you can easily allow only CSS for example without automatically allowing everything else from said 3rd-party.
Basically Dynamic Filtering is babby's first content blocker. uMatrix is what grown ups use.
