Hey /g/angsters, this stuff keeps your circuit board or general wire matrix free of outside buttfucking via moisture and thermal/physical shocks.

How do I make this shit myself? I'll need a lot,
and $20 for every few miliLiters won't cut it financially. Anybody have any tips? or a cheaper provider?
and I don't want to spend

It doesn't cost that much, dude. Check amazon.

you could experiment with epoxies. if you need it rubbery, look into spray rubber or for tool handle dipping or whatever. If you don't need it transparent, of course. and mostr importantly meter whatever material you use.

I've always just put hotglue or kapton tape over anything important, but maybe you could use clear nail polish if mousture is an issue? Two part epoxy is also a traditional low-cost potting solution, though it will be messy for a big board like that.

Hotglue anon. There you go

actually i'm not using it for pic related, i'm using it to protect the exposed inductors on the motors for a drone i'm building.

I'm not sure how hot they're going to get,
but i'm pretty sure i should be using potting.

still, any help helps. I should've specified.

Edgy. Even though the FAA is planning on killing it with their regulations. Just make sure that you can see the drone at all times and get your , dick tattood by the feds so you can fly ur drones

There are a couple types. The epoxy stuff is expensive, but maybe you can get away with cheap acrylic spray. Urethane is also cheaper.

You mean the coils? There is actually stuff special for motors, it's a varnish that soaks in through the windings. You usually have to bake it, so disassembly of motor is required.
