All I ever hear about when people talk about darknet sites are drug markets and child porn. Are there any sites out there that are relatively normal? I'd like to find sites that will replace regular clearnet sites that I usually visit (*chan, youtube, stackoverflow, etc). Sites that are darknet mirrors are also fine. My goal is to try and find out what is stopping me and everyone else from using tor and hidden services exclusively full time.

Using Tor for youtube and shit like that is more dangerous than using Chrome.

tor is to slow for streaming videos

pretty much all anonymity software are wastefull and inefficient for normal use.
They are only worth it if you have something to hide

tor is slow and fucky. not worth it for streaming videos unless they are illegal and chrome/fox/safari/opera would leave a smoke trail. yes, the vast majority of "darknet" sites are normal or mostly normal.

if Franklin grew up in a society where atheism was less than a death sentence I'll bet he would have been an atheist.

Care to list a few?

Ben Franklin was an atheist.

And at the time, vague deism was the vogue among his peers so it really wasn't a huge departure anyway.

You could use it for everything if you want everything to load more slowly and you don't mind ruining the point of anonymity software by going to sites like YouTube.

If you want to create a site that won't track you feel free to do it, but unless it's illegal videos nobody will be interested in sharing stuff with the two people that'll see it. And if you do host illegal stuff you better be ready to have the FBI knocking on your door if you slip up.

Do note I don't mean youtube specifically, rather just a video hosting/streaming service.
