Using the Ultra Flat icon pack. Why is the volume icon so ugly?! Any way to change it to something better?

its called taking pride in your work and doing a perfect job to delight the users who support your project. for a developer, it is not much considering he simply revises the version with minor changes and most of the code is borrowed from Ubuntu releases.

So it is not a burden for the developer to put the finishing touches and ensure consistency in the UI, they should take pride in that.

You on the other hand need to kill yourself immediately because you are a waste of oxygen.

It's using the icon from the standard icon theme. Seems like the ultra flat theme doesn't have that icon. You could just copy and paste the icon from another theme.
>>
>>51931566
How would i go about doing that ?
>>
>>51931566
So, the Ultra Flat icon theme actually DOES have the volume icon, but oddly it isn't being used. How can I manually change the icon?
>>
>>51931616
On Windows, you actually just have fun or get work done. No time wasted trying to make our icons look good, because they just work by default.

I have the Numix icon pack as well, but some of the icons are missing. The Ultra Flat icon is near complete, besides the volume icon bug.

I wish it were that easy, m8.

>>

>>
>>51932002
This is annoying. The theme is basically perfect, besides this.
>>
>>51931942

>>
>>51931946

i'm this guy >>51931946
I just installed the ultra flat icon theme and seems to be working fine.

>>51932048
I was referring to the icon theme, however now that you mention it some gtk themes has icon overrides, i'm testing the icon theme with the numix gtk theme and i don't have that problem, check in the files of your gtk theme if you have any icon override.

I got the theme from this ppa btw:
http://www.noobslab.com/2015/01/make-linux-more-elegant-with-ultra-flat.html
>>
>>51932213
That's where I found the theme as well. I'm gonna search around my folders for the default gtk theme. Any clues as to where this may be? I don't see it in pic related.

no, just remove the audio icon from the taskbar
>>
>>51932965
The only way to do that is to remove the notification applet as a whole. Doing this, I lose quite a bit of functionality.

Hue, was waiting for this..

Well, I think I found the problem. I had to increase the size of the panel to 32 pixels, from 26 where I prefer it. After doing that, the icon changed. Pic related.
