Because they take that master and re-encode it. FX does not broadcast the master, it has a bitrate of 200+ Mb/s, you cannot broadcast that. They encode it. As does Netflix, as does iTunes. They all encode it differently.

Why can that air in such a high bitrate but Fargo's HDTV stream is apparently worse and lower bitrate than the NETFLIX stream.
Even my episodes of Mad Men were HDTV and those were around 23 GB per episode.

I did that comparison too and I found the WEB-DL severely worse especially in high action scenes. I literally could not watch them otherwise I never would have grabbed these gigantic encodes.

meh, with those speeds you're fine. You would of course prefer a bit more download speed i'm sure. But with upload speed anyway, you'll still probably rarely max it out.
On this 150mbps upload I rarely go over 500kb/s upload speed, even when seeding ~100 torrents (~1.3TB)
So unless you are seeding on public trackers, or you have something a LOT of people want, you'll never use more upload speed.
