You're either small, get only a few hundred viewers and you'll be paid for by clicks.... In cents. You won't make more than 2 dollars this way, because you only click on ads once and after that you know it would have been quicker to just Google it.
You're a massive site, you get a few thousand viewers per day and advertisers pay you by view instead of by clicks (or just pay you regardless) and you lose money when people use adblox, then you bitch about how ad blocking hurts SMALL business despite what I posted in the first paragraph
