I would love to have time to read millions of books and play thousands of movies and games, but inevitably, all the knowledge of the world is meant to be applied to the real world, youd be trapped in a big jail basically, only seeing filtered news about reality.

Yes. Most of the objections to immortality point to the negative aspects of being a HUMAN, but these would not be the same if you were just consciousness in a computer.

In a virtual reality you wouldn't be bound by any of that shit or any of the consequences. You could go around jumping off mountains just for the fuck of it and nothing bad would happen. And you wouldn't have to eat or sleep, so you could dedicate 5000 straight hours to that shit. You would be a pretty sick basejumper after that and I bet you would have a new found enthusiasm for life.
Then there is is the sex of course. Like in that movie Surrogates, everyone is beautiful so everyone fucks each other no problem and its epic, even guys just have a chick avatar and can get away with being full blown faggots and everyone involves in none the wiser and couldn't give a fuck anyway.
Then there is the eternity you could spend learning basically everything, which I bet would feel pretty fucking good when you reach that Zen moment after a million years or so.
