So few days ago i was testing noise levels of my new case fans (Cooler Master poor tier fans) so i bumped them to different fan curve profiles but i couldn't distinguish the noise of case fans from my R9 270X's fans, so i turned all of the fans in my pc off (cpu, gpu and psu fans) to hear how they perform on their own, but i had to go to work and i forgot it like that, so for a few days after that they were off which i did not realise since i forgot what i did. I could not figure out why was my gpu stuck at 92'C, and cpu (FX 6350) at 70'C+ in Fallout 4 since that never happened before. So my friend had one of the fans on his Asus GTX 680 Ti die and it caused his gpu to crash, throttle and artifact like crazy. How come Nvidia's gpus are so sensitive to heat while AMD's components generaly don't care?
Anybody got similar experiences?
Um are you retarded?
If you disable the fan on any cpu or gnu it's gonna die real fucking fast.
get a clue buddy.

Hm... I don't think you got the point, components were idling and were around 28-35'C with fans off while i was checking stuff. The point is that i made a mistake and nothing died, or was damaged, i checked with several stress tests.

AMD products are forged in the fires of Hell, their components will literally alight before becoming damaged.

No it won't. My 2600k was doing 75C at full load with the fan at 0 rpm when a piece of rubber buffer got stuck between the fan blades.
>tfw i can run a fanless 2600k
GPUS have built in thermal throttling sensors that throttle when it reaches certain temp.

There is a reason why they are called ADVANCED micro devices OP. Shit comes from the future its also the reason most of their stuff gets better over time instead of worse

I once saw a 5xxx mid tier AMD videocard working at 110'C (it was like this for 5 months), it was slow but without artefacts/glitches. And mine two 280x worked at 88'C 24/7 for half of year. They both alight.
Oh, and btw i fucking hate Nvidia-jew.
And i finished Crysis 1 twice on my 5770 with fans stopped by dust.
