here's a pic of it before I found out the mounting holes didn't align properly. The only thing stopping me from redrilling the pickguard is that the original mounting points will still be visible. Not that it'll make a difference on tone or anything, it'll just look weird having a few unused points. I guess I can put tiny pieces of white duct tape over it or caulk/sand it to look ok.

Eh, I think it's fine the way it is. There's already very little space left, I'm using nearly every cm of the width of my living room. I suppose I could make a cabinet that is just wide enough to put the two towers side by side with a shelf for the receiver on top of them, but that would just look awkward with a small bit of empty space on the sides.
That Sharkoon case is on its way out in favor of a Corsair 750D, though. Probably gonna get that done in January, February at the latest.

Any recommendations ? It'd probably have to be Logitech to work with the Unifying receiver that my MX Master uses as well. Kinda bad experience with Logitech keyboards though, I'm not too fond of that Illuminated desu.

The Illuminated I'm using has kind of mushy keys and it goes wonky if I'm typing too fast, AFAIK it's because of some hardware "spellcheck" shenanigans that tries to prevent typos by dropping inputs if two keys are pressed too quickly.

Other than that, I found that some things which are not necessary for comfy, but do make things really comfy are nice lighting (such as a mild light source somewhere near your setup and adjustable monitor backlighting), a corner desk or just generally a large desk and a window close to you. A comfy chair helps too, I also recommend managing your cables regardless of what you're going for.
Here's my station about half a year ago. All the things which you see in my current station were things which were added separately over time.

Well, for one, get a bit of taste in your consumerism. Buy into the RIGHT snake oil products, not gamer shit. Run virtualization software on a light Unix distribution (preferably something with QEMU support) with a really fucking good rig-- run Windows on that. Windows 7 is acceptable, but Windows XP is better- of course, it's up to debate, though Win8 Win10 are both fucking awful and non-/g/.
Get a better chair- I'd suggest a professional office chair. As for headphones, head over to /hpg/ and see the types of cans they discuss (I personally use HD598 Sennheisers, but that's personal preference). "Gamer" headphones are always lo-fi, especially the ones with many {shitty} speakers in each ear (Looking at you, Razerfags)
As well as headphones, get an amp for them (more snakeoil to fit with /g/ standards)
Get a keyboard that isn't fancy light-up shit. There's tons of good mech kbs out there, and the switches are all personal preference. Lightup bullshit is ugly as fuck and tasteless.
As for a mouse, (this is personal opinion, though) you should get a stock, matte Dell mouse. 1000dpi, that's all you need. It's durable, and... a generic mouse.
Remember, Unix systems as desktop home computer systems isn't necessarily the best, but is required when trying to achieve optimum efficiency.
Windows is for gaymes, which you seem to have a lust for. Finally, remember, PS4 has no games, and you're good to go.

I guarantee this latency and response time thing is a meme. Looking at stats it was measured as having a 21-24ms response time at 41hz. Running this thing at 60 and it runs snappy and feels good. I think it might just be the refresh rate. 1000/41 gives 24ms maximum, it probably is under that.
