I just changes ram from 2x 4 gig(8) to 2 x8 sticks(16)
But now when im trying to start computer it just shuts down witin 5 seconds and reboots and just down and reboots by its own within seconds of och reboot. I never make it to menu
What wrong?
The BIOS is probably trying to run it at a speed it cant handle. What CPU do u have (the memory controller could be causing this)? Go into bios and make sure its set to default ram settings and see if it works then.
Ensure bios is up to date and that the ram u got is on the suported vendor list for your mobo
you forgot to install your RAM drivers

Probably the timings are off or some shit.
Boot up the bios and have a look
Check frequencies anon, maybe the new ones are in a frequency so high your motherboard can't use it
>>51803787
You actually have to go into your mobo manual or online to the vendors website to check if the specific ram model is compatible with your mobo
>>51803972
How? When i start is its black screen and computer is only active 4 second before shutting down and after another 4 seconds it starts again and repeats
>>51803787
If thats an asus motherboard there should be a MemOK button.
Press it while the computer is off so it can auto configure the rams.
If not you have to look at what speeds your computer supports the rams and configure them yourself.

That might indicate a bad stick of ram.
Try inserting only 1 at the time and see if it boots.

But why isnt my old ram suddenly working? Does accidentally switching The places of The ram affect?
>>51804117
As I said before if its asus use the memOK button.
If not just remove the CMOS battery so it can reset.
Best case scenario you fucked up the configs.
Worst case scenario you fried the motherboard with static.

Its a mk msi z77a-s01

Unplug your power cable remove all ram sticks. Reset BIOS (remove battery or short out jumpers if no clear CMOS button). Reseat 1 RAM stick plugin power cable and try to boot. If it buts unplug power again and put in the second stick.
Looks like an asrock board, I had the exact same problem, turns out the boards defective and will only run in single channel.

I also tried cleaning it before maybe it affected it? I never dont it before so i just spit in it and rubbed everything clean with rags, probably wasnt good idea when I think of it
>>51804117
Yes, RAM is usually installed in pairs in specific slots.

The battery is used to keep the BIOS settings when the power is out. Removing it resets the BIOS to default settings.

It's a lithium battery it will probably outlive the motherboard. The battery needs to be replaced if you notice your system clock and date resetting every time you power off your machine.
>>51804776
Yes you can. This has happened to me when I forgot to cut power to the mobo before messing with RAM modules.
