It's really not hard, but it's definitely tedious. You should do the real install someday, but for now I recommend this: http://sourceforge.net/projects/architect-linux/files/
I've used it on several machines. It's a very nice third party installer for plain jane vanilla Arch. That way you can get your shit setup properly pretty quickly without ending up with a pile of shit like antergos or manjaro.
The hardest part is probably partitioning and I think there's an auto option if you're a baka.
