It's really good. I initially bought it just for the sake of having a mouse that's easy to just pick up and take with me to use with my laptop, with the intention of silly using my old wired gaymen mouse full-time on my desktop. But after using the MX Master exclusively for a week to find out how long the battery lasts (went from 00:30-ish Sunday to around 19:30 Saturday with 14-16 hours of use every day), I ended up just removing my old mouse from my desk entirely and using the MX Master as my daily driver. I love it.
My only complaints are that the thumb rest button is a little hard to click, and the back/forward buttons are somewhat awkwardly placed. Though after getting used to the back/forward button placement that's no longer an issue. I wish they'd have moved them forward a bit, though.

To be honest, glass is probably like the second or third grippiest material for a phone back.
I can see why you wouldn't want a glass back, but more because it's fragile and a little too good at conducting heat than a lack of grippiness.
Shit nigga, speaking of heat, my Nexus 4 gets really fucking hot. It'll get warm to the touch even from doing nothing but being a wifi hotspot, and almost burning to the touch if I start doing something with it. This wouldn't be as bad with a plastic back.
Another downside to the Nexus 4's back is that it's just normal glass, not gorilla glass. Shit gets scratched up easily, mine's a complete mess after 3 years even though I'm generally careful with it, I've dropped it all of 0 times. At least the front glass is still pristine despite never having seen a screen protector in its lifetime.
