Anyone know what amp these batteries are?

Probably impossible to tell. It's likey a ~3.7v laptop li-ion cell. Very similar to the 18something I can't remember the number 5 digit batteries you can get for fancy LED flashlights too.

If you don't already know what it is, you probably shouldn't be messing with it.

18650 li-ion cell. Nominal voltage should be 3.7V. Full charge 4.2V.

Basically the same battery of your cellphone, but in another format.

There are many others.
>>
I know 18650, but searching the text on the wrap comes back with nothing.
I'm assuming it's safe to say that it isn't high drain.
>>
Perforate it for fireworks

Used to power vapes.

18650
It's a 3.7v Li-Poly battery generally used in flashlights.
>>
Impossible to tell if the numbers on the accu wont give any information on the internet.
The easiest way to test it would be discharging it at 1A and take time until it is depleted (around 3.1V - do not go under 3.0 this fucks the LiPo).
Full state should be 4.2V as previously mentioned in the thread
>>
>>51778525

Looks like a Generic 3300mh from a generic battery pack for a laptop or "power bank" or similar.

3.7-4.2v
Probably around 2 amps.

It doesn't have the amps to push your Vape.
It does, however, have good enough capacity and voltage for a really nice flashlight or replacement in a laptop battery pack.

Or use it in any projects. There exist tons of designs online for turning two 18650 batteries into a nice USB charger for gadgets.

if you have to ask, then you shouldn't be messing with it. It's a common 18650 cell

Shit nignog same flashlight. Pretty decent little tube I'm my opinion.
>>
>>51779320
Bought it based off reviews and the fact it could charge off USB which I needed for my trip to the Rockies this last summer.
Thing is fantastic, like a motorcycle headlight on high.

When I was younger I used to pretend AAs were missiles and play with them.
Shit was cash
>>
>>51781488
Never had AA in the house so I would just break open the 9volt batteries and pretend those were my missiles

>>51778564
This. Batteries for phones are now 3.85- 4.35 though
>>
keep it in your pocket with some spare change and keys
>>
Look like vape batteries, source I like to watch vape videos

Be careful with them, they're extremely powerful
>>
>>51778525
thats an old 18650 battery. according to people that use Ecigs. You don't need to know what the amps are. just make some shitty coils and throw that fucker in and hope your cotton doesn't get dry enough to catch fire.
>>
>>51778525
Looks like a mouth fedora box battery
Unless it says the amperage on the side, you'll have to hook it up to an amperage meter.

>>51778525
It's a li-ion, very nice cell, just make sure it's healthy before you plug it into anything.

>>51778564
Phones use li-po last I checked?

>>51778627
Up to 2c is fine, anything more is risky.

>>51779222
Great for diy, I use them for speakers and power banks, as well as my flashlight.

Anyone got any questions? Uncertified lithium battery pro here.
Collecting these things is a hobby, until one of them burns my house down.
>>
>>51784235
i'm going to unwrap it and sick it in a tube mod, would recommend?
>>
>>51785338
No. Don't unwrap it.
>>
>>51778525
We get it, you vape
>>
>>51785338
Completely unknown, unprotected 18650 cell?
Well, I guess if you vape you're already an idiot. Blowing your head off won't make much difference.
>>
>>51781584 yeah, I saw my LG G2 go to 4.301 with an app, I guess that's how they pump in more capacity. I'm pretty sure it goes down to 3.7 though. Battery life hasn't gone to shit in 2 years btw, so I guess it's not even that bad to use higher voltages.
>>
>>51786250
Don't try to push a regular lithium battery past 4.2v.
These 4.35v batteries are made different, they use different materials.
You can get 18650s that go to 4.35v too, but don't push a battery past its rated voltage.
>>
>>51786279
Yeah, I wasn't planning to do that. I guess those higher voltage cells are preferable if you want to build a 5v power bank though, right?
>>
>>51786298
Nope.
They both work fine. 0.1v doesn't really make much difference in my opinion.
If you want 18650s for a power bank, I'd recommend the 3400mah ones from Panasonic or efest, or another reputable brand.
2 of those makes a small power bank that gives plenty charge.
~250% on my nexus 5 and ~200% on my g3, my step up circuit /power bank isn't the most efficient, but it was cheap, so I'm not too bothered.
>>
18650 li-ion. Unless you pulled it out of a vaporizer it isn't high drain. Probably from some type of large battery pack, like laptop or something.
>>
>>51784235
Where i can good quality batteries for my diy laptop battery
>>
>>51786472
A vape shop.
That's where I got my 3400mah cells, as well as a couple of high draw ones for my torch.
The rest of my batteries I pulled from dead laptops.
Also reputable online sellers should be fine. Try dx.
