Guys Im transferring my computer to another person and I want it to be "clean".
I already deleted files (movies/pics) I dont want others to see, but want to make sure I covered everything.
Is there anywhere else trace of files can be located? like Recent files in the C:/Administrator?

yes, but the hard drive will remain intact and in regular use. I just want to make sure traces of old files dont show. I dont want to wipe it completely.

If you don't want to go full format and dban as was said above you can also use hdscrub. I think this was the website were i got it http://www.summitcn.com/hdscrub.html .
Basically it overwrites all of the hard drive's free space with junk and then deletes those. So whatever porn you had there originally is now gone and windows is intact.

I'm serious. Who the fuck would use a computer with a used HD/SSD in it these days? ESPECIALLY one previously used by a 4channer.
Anything could be on there. Or they could put some shady shit on there, and claim it was from you if they get caught.
Just rip out the drive, make them get their own.

I am reasonably certain you are ok, all that will be left after 'nuking' it with either tool will at best be empty pointers, a.k.a. in recent files as you asked it will say 'example torrented folder' which if clicked will give nothing, but you can delete history and recent easily enough.
Having done that as well, your mom/friend/gf/local priest won't know about what horrors their new pc had experienced in 4chan. Also clean all of your browsers history if you havent.

Deleting files as you would normally do does not really delete them. The system just marks the sectors of the drive as empty, but the data is still there and is easily recoverable. It is better to just wipe the drive as >>51777180 said.

Get a Linux liveCD, use hdparm secure erase. It's actually recommended over dban nowadays since it can wipe areas of the drive dban doesn't touch.

Fill the drive up with garbage and delete it then do it a few more times.

Boot linux
Reformat all partitions that things could be on
For every partition:
cd into it
It should be empty, if not, delete any files in therecat /dev/zero > myCockthis will create a big file filled with zero's
when it gives a disk full error cancel it and reformat the disk
once that is done go boot a (windows/linux) install cd and install that shit
Even the NSA won't get shit out of your drives after this
should have just kept your hard drive and sold the computer with a new one/ different one

Just wipe the drive completely and reinstall the OS
Nuke it with DBAN if you want to feel secure. If not - run Bleachbit, delete your Windows user profile, remove all applications, etc.
Buy a new hdd to save the hassle for just 50 bucks
