This happened to me as well. I've been using qbittorrent for years now and the last two updates shit up everything. I can download on Transmission just fine. Fuck, I don't know what happened.
Reverting back to 3.2.x works fine, but the last time I tried that it broke most torrent due to not using the default names on files. I'm just sad.

I'm still using ĀµTorrent 2.2.1, it's light, fast and functional, what would be some good reason to change? Other than it's free.
I remember trying Deluge, qBitorrent and Bitcomet a few years ago, it lasted only a few weeks and I went back to ĀµTorrent. Bitcomet was the worst, the other two were fine but used more ressources for the same thing.

bakabt has a client whitelist. You have to wait a few days for new versions to be added.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if this were the source of most of the stalling.

Change the network adapter in advanced options, especially if you're using a VPN. For some reason it was using the wrong one (it duplicated the list of adapters, no clue why, but the second set didn't actually hook up to anything) so it had zero connectivity.

I've been using qBittorrent for months basically every day and I never experienced the stalled thing everyone is talking about. Moreover the stalled condition doesn't depend on the torrent client, it depends on the torrent file's health.

Add to that the I/O errors, most of them are produced cause people try to upload or reseed a torrent while their HDD doesn't have enough space left for said torrent even when it's already on the HDD, it's an error common to most torrent clients.
I use 2.2.1 cause i have to deal with white lists on a dozen private trackers but qbit is more than ok for public trackers.

How are the RSS capabilities of Transmission through CLI? Maybe I'll just make my server do all my downloading.

rofl, I don't even use utorrent

actually I blame this shit client because I tried to download two big torrents (around 60gb) with not a lot of peers on qb and it stood there, stalled for more than a month

I thought it was due to a lack of peers/seeds, but then I decided to try it with transmission and tixati, using the SAME configurations, the SAME port (forwarded), etc
both clients started downloading as soon as I added the torrents

deleted qb and never looked back

it's a fucking piece of shit client

-Was on 3.2.3, the problem with the firewall limiting traffic started when I changed to 2.2.1.

>>51776948
I hate qbit too but there's a reason why I didn't say tixati destroys it.
>>
>>51776996
no nignog, tixati has ONE problem: you can change your client information so trackers think you're using a different one
and that's because it's not whitelisted
put that aside and it's pretty good, can't even be compared to the piece of shit that qbitorrent is, because really, atleast you can download stuff without stalled or i/o problems

Transmission (-qt on Windows) is pretty much perfect
some people don't like the UI (that's the only point I like about qb btw), but it's taste... the client works like a charm
