6600K doesn't give you much edge over 6500 and overclocking is silicon lottery. Also, he wants to use a fucking 212 EVO, I doubt he's gonna bother overclocking at all.

The only 970 that uses less than 150w is the reference model. Which performs near an R9 280x at best due to the ridiculously low power target.
970's with tweaked power targets and higher clocks hit nigh on 280w, which is not far behind most 290x's.
