It would probably be cheapest and easiest for you to pick up one of the 6-core 1366 Xeon chips (5650's are going for $90-$100 on Ebay at the moment) and clock those up to 4Ghz than buy a new platform.

But if you're wanting to run them harder I would suggest spending the extra $$$ for a 5670.

Came from Pentium 4 with HT. House fire supreme edition which probably conditioned me to be used to a room 25F hotter than the rest of house.
Waiting on Zen before I jump on any ddr4 platform. If Zen fails, ill be on haswell-e or skylake-e if it is out.

Only slight downside is that I don't have pci express 3 so any video card I put in the thing is slightly worse :(
