If you're still not using command line get on that shit.

I started reading a guide to using command line an hour ago and I'm redpilled. GUIs are a conspiracy to make the general public think computers aren't as useful as they actually are. It's not even hard.

Most here know this to the point where they have discussions about which shell they find preferable

Guis belong in the FUCKING TRASH!
>>
>>51749353
But why should I click multiple keys to make one command when I could just click one?
>>
>>51749508

There are pros and cons of using a command line over a gui and vice versa. Why not use both and choose the appropriate tool for the appropriate job?

Underaged babby who thinks he's some sort of Comp Sci god super hacker because he knows how to use "cd" in the terminal detected.

Quit making sense.

Because the specific command you wish to execute may not be considered in the user interface design and may require multiple clicks through menus as opposed to a quick one to two word command with an operator.

I see. Thank you.

So you agree Ubuntus HUD is the future. Hit alt, type the menu command you want. ezpz

I haven't used Ubuntu's HUD, or heard of it. But yes, that sounds incredibly useful.

I'm willing to bet that you will not give up your DE/WM to go pure CLI
>>
>>51749929

I think multiple terminals(via i3 or similar) is the closest I'd get to pure terminal. I liked them in the 90s, I don't like them much now.

CLI will always reign sureme in efficientcy and power. But you need to use effort to learn how to use them. The mass population doesn't like this so is more attracted to GUIs so unfortunately they must be developed if software is to be sold to the masses.
